The 2014 Pavillon Blanc de Château Margaux is just a bit anonymous on the nose

brooding and focused flavors that explode on the hugely long and deep finish

but unlike vintages of ten years ago

very concentrated

Like the Poisets this is notably rich with its relatively large-scaled flavors that also enjoy good density thanks to the abundant dry extract that also coats the palate and pushes the firmer supporting tannins to the background

A brooding but wonderfully fresh nose mingles notes of various red berries, spice, earth and plenty of floral influences. The sleek, intense and muscular largescaled flavors possess excellent power before culminating in a stony and hugely long finish where the only nit is a touch of warmth. This too is explicitly built for the long haul and is a wine thats going to need at least a decade first.
