George the Giraffe Size:XXL: 127 x 100cm Memorial in St Bride's ChurchWhen Dick Chipperfield bought George the Giraffe he didn't realise how much trouble he would have in transporting him about the countryside with his circus. The difficulty was overcome however when a double decker bus was purchased and converted into a home for 'George'. Who now travels in style, being the only passenger on the double decker Chipperfield Special. 19th October 1952
