Pair Fine Antique 19th Century Japanese Meiji Cloisonné Double Gourd Vases 1890 Sold The inkwell of cylindrical formA very good pair of antique Japanese Meiji period cloisonn vases, circa 1890. This is a very handsome pair of antique double gourd shaped cloisonn vases, one with a blue ground the other with a burgundy ground, both having a lappet design to the neck, the tops and bases are extravagantly decorated with many geometric stylized floral devices. Each vase is waisted with further lappets, the large globular base having a broad band of 'Greek Key' design,
